We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors and service users. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to PurePrivacy. This privacy policy describes how we might collect and process your personal data, in compliance with applicable laws protecting your privacy, when you use PurePrivacy.

Digital wellbeing Privacy & Services

PurePrivacy is a mobile and web-based application where the mobile version is available for iOS and Android (hereinafter referred to as the “app”) through “Play store” and “App store” and the web-based application (hereinafter referred to as the “web app”) is available through the use of recommended web browser being Chrome, Brave, mozilla firefox for “Windows” and “Mac” operating system based devices that helps you protect your online privacy and security.

By using the PurePrivacy app and/or web app, you are providing permission to the PurePrivacy app to make changes to your privacy settings and/or personal data. This is what we call “processing of your personal data”. When you open the PurePrivacy for the first time, you will be able to see a link to this privacy policy from the in app menu.

Before using the PurePrivacy, please read this privacy policy carefully and agree to its terms to continue using the PurePrivacy. Once you provide the informed consent by taking an action and clicking, tapping or ticking the button to subscribe to our services you provide an informed consent to have read, agreed, understood to abide by this privacy policy. If you do not agree with this privacy policy, please do not use the PurePrivacy App.

Functionalities

To use our App or the Web app a user account needs to be created. This account is your identity with Pure Privacy and will be used by you to use our services.The PurePrivacy App will never change anything in your accounts without your prior authorization. Consequently, we are only processing your data because you have consented to it and/or because we are performing a service you have requested from us.

Change of the privacy settings of your online accounts

The PurePrivacy offers you the ability to scan the privacy settings on some of your online accounts and suggests changes to maximize your privacy. You can choose which of your online accounts you want PurePrivacy to scan.

To provide this service, you are asked to log into your account(s) through the PurePrivacy App. Your account authentication details, i.e., username and password, are not stored during the whole process. We do not copy or store any of this personal data in PurePrivacy servers.

In no event will your password be transmitted to PurePrivacy. Neither is any social account passwords or credentials stored on the device of the user. There are some session cookies stored on your device app locally to provide user activity for the entire duration our user is online and active.

Data collection

We will always build services where the collection or use of your personal data is not more than what is necessary to provide you an interactive user experience.

When you sign up with PurePrivacy, we only ask for the following information.

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Country of residence.
  • Address Line 1 and 2.
  • Zip or Postal code.
  • Phone Number.
  • Date of Birth.
  • City or State.

For app and service improvements we collect the following information:

  • Software analytics and statistics
  • Live chats, and feedback forms

Use of Data

The information we collect enables us to provide our services to you. We process the information for the following

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our services
  • To improve, personalise and expand our services
  • To analyse and improve user experience
  • To communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners. We communicate with our users for user service, providing updates and other information related to the services, and for marketing and promotional purposes
  • To process your transactions
  • To improve our contract management
  • To enforce our Terms of Service or other legal rights

Software analytics and statistics

PurePrivacy collects minimal statistics and reports. None of these include identifiable data or behaviour, such as IP addresses and DNS requests. This collection is done strictly to ensure the best possible service and customer support is delivered to our customers.

PurePrivacy conducts diagnostics and monitors crash reports to:

  • Better understand the functionality of our software
  • See how often the PurePrivacy app is used
  • Understand events occurring within the app
  • See aggregated usage
  • Track performance data

In the event these tools ask for additional data, PurePrivacy does not take responsibility to ensure privacy of such data collection. Hence, you are suggested to read and understand their respective policies before using PurePrivacy.

Live chats, and feedback forms

Other than users’ data, it is important for PurePrivacy to keep a record of all user correspondence to ensure smooth service delivery and superior customer service. We keep a record of all correspondence, be it questions, complaints or compliments submitted via our apps, website or extensions.

PurePrivacy uses multiple third-party platforms for customer support and correspondence:

These platforms and their privacy policies are not under our control, and you acknowledge that we are not responsible for them. The inclusion of such a link or reference is merely as a convenience and does not imply endorsement of, or association with, the Site or party, or any warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied by us.

Dark –Web monitoring services

We offer a peculiar feature on subscription basis on our Pure Privacy app and web app for our users who opt for this feature. This feature is offered to enhance the user experience by providing greater online safety and privacy facility. To provide you this feature you are required to consent and provide us authorization to collect information required to provide this service for which the attributes of the type of the information collected is listed in this policy. You by opting-in for this feature consent that we process this information by sending it to a third-party who will run this information in their systems against their own databases to identify information or data of our users sent to them is avaialable on on a breached datrabase in the Dark web. The outcome of this process informs our users if their personal information or sensitive data has been compromised or not. This will enable our users opting for this feature to take necessary actions to mitigate and prevent data theft and breach of their privacy. The attributes of such information for which our users consent to this processing includes their name, email address, required through which the databases shall be used to identify a breach. Therefore by opting for this feature, you as a user consent to this data processing after reading, understanding and accepting the contents of this privacy policy.

Directions for our users

By using this feature and by subscribing to this feature our users are not to share the information or reports received to be modified or to be shared with any other third parties.

How do we collect, hold and use personal information?

  • We collect personal information:
  • From individuals directly, who subscribe to our services; and
  • From third parties, who can search and verify the legitimacy of a breach.

Storage

We store email addresses only for this feature and providing phone number is optional for our subscribers. Our third-party for monitoring breach of data securely stores the personal information in their own data lake to run searches against breached data till the time our subscribers consent for this service.

Use of this Information

We use the personal information we hold for the purpose of providing our services.
Our subscriber database is checked when new breach data is loaded to establish if the subscriber appears in a new breach, and to send an email notification to the subscribers if required or a notification is sent through our App or Web App. These email notifications are only ever sent to subscribers who ‘double' opt-in to receive notifications. This involves entering an email address at the time of account creation with our App or Web App

Sensitive data breaches

All sensitive data breaches are notified directly to our subscribers and we (Pure) cannot view this information. Sensitive data breaches are provided to our subscribers upon successful verification to ensure that the particular subscriber exercises control, ownership and authorization to view, modify and take necessary action upon the breached data being revealed to the particular subscriber. Sensitive information that can be attributed or be used for creating a digital profile is not available or returned in the public search results through this feature either on our App or Web App.

Protecting Privacy and Tracking

PurePrivacy takes into account that privacy and information security is paramount to our customers. Thus, we offer a security and privacy enhanced feature for our subscribers in the product. We offer a Tracker Blocker as a paid subscription service. The purpose of this feature is to provide our users with a top-notch level of privacy and security by blocking online trackers. This feature blocks ad trackers and plugins that monitor online activity of our customers and users for redirections or for promotional and marketing purposes.

This new feature works to create the app to function as a local VPN (Virtual Private Network) and filters traffic and requests from trackers that seeks to trace user activity or redirects them when the users are surfing or browsing the internet by ensuring their privacy.This is done through an exhaustive list of trackers which is managed and updated by us in a timely manner. For this purpose, the app processes device network data which is essential and mandatory to provide the establishment of this network and to filter the traffic which will otherwise be traced to our users. This processing is solely done on the device and nothing is sent to our servers or over any cloud servers at all. This feature is available to be activated and deactivated at will by our users and provide an enhanced security and user experience.

Push Notifications

We may send you updates about the PurePrivacy App and Product by sending you push notifications through the PurePrivacy App if you have given us your prior approval to do so.

You may opt-out of receiving these notifications at any time by changing the appropriate settings within your PurePrivacy App. To send you push notifications, we store and use a serial number which was generated by Apple or Google, depending on the version of the PurePrivacy App you are using, best known as a “token”, which is unique to your use of the PurePrivacy App in your phone.

Security of collected information

With the exception to the stored data mentioned under - “Data Collection”, PurePrivacy neither stores any user data nor shares, sells or rents it out to any third party. Hence no such information is kept with us. The only information mentioned in this section is stored to provide the products and services required by users which is kept safe without sharing or selling it to any third party.

Measures to protect your information

All stored data is secured with strong cryptographic algorithms and other security measures wherever required.

PurePrivacy takes appropriate measures for the protection of all customer information against unauthorised access, alteration, destruction and disclosure of data. Access to personal customer information by PurePrivacy employees, contractors and agents is restricted.

It is important for all users to understand that despite the precautionary and cybersecurity measures that have been deployed following the international best practices and standards for information security architecture. Information Systems are susceptible to breach and cannot be declared 100% protected or secure.

Data retention policy and your data protection rights

Retention of Information

PurePrivacy may retain your information including your name, email address as required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations, including to honour your choices, for our records purposes and to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. Specifically, we retain information for our legitimate interests and essential business purposes, such as operating, maintaining and improving our services; complying with our legal obligations; providing you services on the App and Web app and exercising our legal rights and remedies, including enforcing our terms of use. We retain this data until you remain our subscribers and actively use our App and Web App.

Right as Data Subjects

PurePrivacy which is a product offered under “PureSquare” is an intellectual ownership of GZ Systems Limited – a registered entity under the BVI (British Virgin Islands) and is subject to data protection, privacy and compliance laws applicable under this territorial jurisdiction.

For Users of EU (European Union)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following data protection rights,

  • You can also exercise this right by clicking on the “unsubscribe” or “opt-out” link in the marketing emails we send to you
  • You can access, rectify, or delete the accounts you have managed through the PurePrivacy App and/or the data you have stored within the PurePrivacy App at any time directly in the PurePrivacy.
  • If you want to delete any data stored in the PurePrivacy app, you need to delete the PurePrivacy App from your phone.
  • You may also request deletion of your personal user profile, if you decide to leave our services completely. You can do so at any time by sending an email at [email protected]. If you request the deletion of your profile, it may take up to a month (30 days) to complete. Your email address will be kept and used to avoid account duplication and creation of fake accounts in your name. Your email address will be deleted only after we receive an explicit request from you to do so.

Third-party website links

PurePrivacys’s app might contain links to other third-party websites. We do not control how they operate their privacy practices nor can we take responsibility for them.

Financial and credit information

As with all online businesses, PurePrivacy also uses third-party payment processors. All payment data rests with the respective processor.

However, some do require us to process the payment. And in such cases, we process all payments real-time and pass it on to the processor and chargeback service without storing any data.

Please review the privacy policy of your preferred payment processor for a better understanding of the information they collect, store and use. Pure Privacy has included Coin Payments and Gift Cards in the list of payment methods we accept. These are 100% anonymous payment methods that will protect your privacy.

Consent and Age Restrictions

We accept the usage of our website, apps, extensions and services by the users as an agreement of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Usage.

The services provided by PurePrivacy are intended for people 18 years and above by individuals capable of providing informed consent. In case you suspect that the information which may or may not be a PII (Personally Identifiable Information) has been recorded or used to subscribe to our services belongs or is association to a minor, Parents or legal guardians must inform PurePrivacy immediately about any unauthorised or underage use of our services at the following address: [email protected]. All data requests including that are made on behalf of the minor are subject to successful verification of identification before processing any such request.
